OPEN IN PRAYER

MESSAGE REVIEW

Prayer has protocols. If you pray and your prayers are not being answered there may be something that you are not doing. We will continue to breakdown Kingdom protocols and for you to have interaction between heaven and earth. We will be talking about two things today: Prayers of faith & Expectation. If you need God to open a door open for anything in your life, prayer prayers of great faith and then expect God to move! Let’s dig in and learn more about how we can do this effectively.

LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!

  • Read recap scriptures:

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

When we pray prayers of faith, we hear the word, and we believe the word so then we have the faith to pray. The constant steady flow of word keeps the constant steady flow of faith. What we hear Pastor Ron preaching on Sundays should be confirmation for us of what God has been speaking all week long. The word brings the faith, and the faith is the evidence in the matter to pray effectively. When you pray how do you stir up your faith? Do you pray the word back to God on a regular basis?

  • Read 2 Kings 13:14-19 Faith by nature has expectation living inside of it. When the King came to see Elisha before he passed, he was given instructions to shoot the arrows and “strike the ground”. He only did this 3 times which angered Elisha. He said the king should have stroked it 5-6 times and he would have destroyed Syria. The king had low expectations and moved in a small way.  May God break the power of low expectations over all of us. When you pray do you pray BIG and then expect for God to come through? Do you pray prayers that scare you?
  • Read Acts 12:5-16 The group was praying for the supernatural release of Peter. When the release happened, Peter came to the door where they were praying. God broke the chains and opened gates for Peter to be set free. Rhoda saw Peter but did not open the door for him but ran back to the prayer room. Prayer precedes opened doors. It does no good if we do not open the door. Sometimes we just stay in the spirit, and we never walk through the door that God opened. If we pray with no expectation, it becomes religious routine. A form of godliness with no power. What can you do to make sure you open the door to “answered prayers”?

PRAYER FOCUS & REQUESTS

Ask your members if they have any prayer requests or praise reports. Encourage one another to stir up your faith and pray BIG prayers this week and expect God to blow your mind with His answers!
