MESSAGE REVIEW
The goal of this message is to communicate the word of God effectively. Two actions determine a state of being; if you believe and confess, you will be that. What you have an abundance of in your heart is what your mouth speaks. We can see what is in your heart because of what you say. Faith has been given to us as a tool to grab ahold of things that already belong to us that are in a heavenly realm. Proverbs 18:21 states that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat it. We must be mindful of what we are speaking over ourselves, our families, our health, finances, and everything that affects our world.
LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!
- Read James 1:17-18 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of His creatures.” The word of God is a lamp to our feet and it illuminates our path. When we speak His word the Lord will give us what Pastor Ron called, a “faith image”. Once you receive it, that is the thing to hold onto and refuse to let it go. Was there a time you were believing for something that looked impossible but because God gave you a word or image you were able to have the faith to hold on? Share with your group.
- Read Hebrews 11:1-3 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” The bible says that we are to believe in the things unseen. This is not the way the world looks at things. When we have faith it means what we are hoping for is guaranteed. When you believe for it your faith is the proof that the thing you can’t see belongs to you. Are you able to hold onto things that are unseen and believe by faith it is yours? Is there a time when you held on to a word from God and your prayer was answered? Share with your group.
