Corporate Anointing

The word “anointed” means the Holy Spirit lives inside and takes up residence inside of you. But the bible teaches that when everyone who is “anointed” comes together. There is a power that comes upon them and is demonstrated in and through the collective that cannot be experienced alone. What is the assembling together of the saints? There needs to be some type of gathering because there is a greater measure of Christ.

 

LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!

Pastor Ron discussed three places of “blessing”.

  1. The tithe (Read Genesis 1:26-28)
  2. Obedience (Read Deuteronomy 28:1-3)
  3. Blessing the blessed (Read Genesis 12:3)
  • Read Galatians 3:16, 3:29 The bible speaks of Abraham and his Seed. His Seed is Christ. The bible does not say I am the seed of Abraham, and his blessing falls on me. It says if we are Christ’s we are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. So, if you are In Christ, you are heirs to the promise of God. He will bless you and bless those who bless you. He will curse those who curse you. We can then celebrate the blessing bouncing back to one another in the body of Christ. Why is it important to bless those who are blessed? Why is it important to bless those who curse you? 
  • Read Ephesians 2:22 This scripture says that “you” (the corporate) is being built together as a corporate place in the spirit. God is assembling a people on the earth, and we cannot take that lightly. God is trying to assemble a house that He can inhabit. There will be things that people can experience in His House. The corporate is meant to be built “together”. The spirit of division has been released by the enemy and he has had a way with the church. What are some of the things that happen when we as the body of Christ assemble? 
  • Read Ephesians 1:22-23, 3:19-20 Jesus is the head of His body and He put all things under His feet. The church is His body. The House of God is His and He fills His house. If we feel empty it’s because we are outside the house. When we understand the love that can cause us to stay together then we understand that we can be filled with the fullness of God. Why is it important to connect with other members of the Body of Christ? How can we remove offense or anything preventing us from gathering?

 

PRAYER FOCUS & REQUESTS

Ask your members if they have any prayer requests or praise reports. Discuss with your members if they can testify to a time in their lives when they came together corporately in prayer, fasting, worship or something else and saw a breakthrough they could not get on their own.
